System Administrator (225-708)

As a System Administrator, you are responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and high availability of services. You will work collaboratively with IT staff to design and implement network solutions, manage servers, and provide technical support to all end users. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that all systems are secure, efficient, and reliable. You will have the opportunity to influence and shape the IT environment through strategic planning and continuous assessment of technology trends to enhance the company’s IT capabilities and security posture.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all installed systems and infrastructure for optimal operation.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks and identify possible solutions.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies to secure data and systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to employees on system-related issues.
• Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional network systems.
• Install, configure, test and manage operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and performance.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce downtime issues.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
• Conduct regular audits of systems and software to ensure compliance with the company’s policies.
• Manage user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the IT infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field preferred.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, including Windows and Linux.
• Hands-on experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills essential for this role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical teams.
