A Junior Media Buyer is an integral part of a marketing team responsible for assisting in the strategic planning and purchasing of advertising space across various media platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with Media Planners to develop effective media buying strategies and negotiate competitive rates with vendors. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of media buying strategies and plans.
  • Conduct market research to identify consumer habits, media trends, and brand perceptions.

  • Monitor media campaigns routinely to assess performance and optimize expenditures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on campaign outcomes and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with media planners to ensure alignment with overall marketing objectives.
  • Manage and track spending against budgets for multiple media buying campaigns.
  • Stay informed about emerging industry trends and media buying technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners.
  • Assist in conducting post-campaign analysis to improve future media buying efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of client presentations and result summaries.
  • Ensure all media buys comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data and statistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective vendor negotiation.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and advertising principles and strategies.
  • Proficiency in using media planning and buying software and tools.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities are essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Prior experience in an internship or entry-level position in media buying is a plus.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
