Role Overview
The Incumbent will be responsible for manufacturing engineering of TIG welding
This role will provide Leadership & Process expertise to Welding shop support team.
Shall have hands on experience in fabrication and welding of Stainless steel and Inconel alloys for tubes and ducts of commercial aircraft engines.
Shall have basic knowledge of all weld process Shall have hands on experience in using and complying to international welding codes and standards like AWS, ASME, EN etc.
Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret drawings, manuals, SOP, MOS and other material to determine finish product.
Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions using problem solving tools like 5WHY Analysis, fish bone diagram, PDCA etc.
Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organization.
Shall have experience in X Ray quality TIG welding with >96% yield.

Knowledge in welding machines usage and their accessories like welding positioners, Bevellers, Rollers, 3D welding tables, etc.
The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for TIG welding tasks involving low-thickness stainless steel (SS) and INCO materials, with a preference for experience working on tubes and ducts used in commercial aircraft engines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Welding Engineering, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Science. At least 10+ years of related experience in Welding Aviation, Automobile , Power, etc.
Knowledge of the following welding codes AS9100, AWS D17.1, NADCAP ASME Sec IX. Sec VIII, AWS.
Understanding of AS 9100 and ISO 9000:2000 Quality Standard
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members.
Must be self-directed, highly detail oriented, organized, and flexible.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in welding technique.
Good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Methodology
