Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor is a critical role responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of electrical systems within a facility. This includes the management of preventive maintenance schedules, immediate repair actions, and the deployment of resources to address electrical issues promptly. The role requires strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise in electrical systems, and the ability to coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency. The Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor plays an essential part in upholding safety standards and enhancing the reliability of the facility's electrical infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of electrical maintenance technicians during assigned shifts.
  • Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance activities to ensure systems run efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes within the facility.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and system performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure operational objectives are met seamlessly.
  • Provide training and support to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of electrical parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Assist in drafting and managing the department's maintenance budget effectively.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance work processes and system reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with management about critical issues and progress updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or related role.
  • Proven leadership experience within a maintenance or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and industry standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools for record-keeping.
