Technical Support Engineer Embedded Software

Are you currently working as an embedded systems engineer but are seeking new challenges to become more customer-facing? We’re looking for an Technical Support Engineer in embedded software to join our team in Bangalore, India.

About The Role

You’ll work close to customers consisting of embedded developers around the world, helping them overcome real engineering challenges while making the most of IAR’s world-leading software tools. Youll be part of a global technical support team that spans across EMEA, US and the broader APAC region, working at the core of embedded development.

The role includes both first-line customer contact and deeper technical investigations, such as troubleshooting technical issues, exploring compiler behavior and diving into optimization and debugging challenges. You’ll also help maintain our knowledge base and contribute to self-service support tools.

Who Are We Looking For?

You’re a technically skilled engineer with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills. You enjoy variety in your work and want to see how your efforts directly impact customers. You’re also comfortable collaborating across teams and time zones, and you value clear communication in English.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with embedded development
• Familiarity with debuggers, compiler optimization, RTOS, and/or Linux
• Knowledge of CI/CD for building/testing embedded software is advantageous
• Experience working directly with customers
• Excellent English skills (written and spoken)

Compensation

Compensation will be competitive and aligned with the Bangalore market (approx. INR 200,000/month depending on experience).

This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
