We work closely with clients and provide technical guidance, solutions to complex issues, retrofit the on-prem deployments to fit in our Pega Cloud architecture so our Clients can benefit from leveraging latest Pega features and Keeping current as part of the as-a-service initiative. We are fun and on constantly on steep learning curve. Apart from providing technical guidance on Modernization, we use our experience from the client engagements to build tools that helps clients with modernization assessment around the gaps, estimation.

As a Cloud Performance Service Assurance Specialist, you’ll support efforts to monitor cloud applications, investigate performance issues, and assist in fixing problems. You’ll also help build tools that make it easier to track performance and automate repetitive tasks—playing a key role in making sure Pega’s cloud services run smoothly for our customers.
What Youll Do At Pega
- 80% Customer/Client Engagement Diagnose and resolve performance issues across applications, databases and infrastructure. Assess hardware requirements and recommend optimal configurations. Conduct performance testing to validate scalability, reliability and responsiveness of applications in production and pre-production environments. Provide post-production support including monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing system performance in live environments. Optimize and monitor Linux-based systems. Create and maintain dashboards in Grafana for Infra and application observability. Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads in production environments. Monitor and analyze performance metrics for AWS RDS, EC2 instances and pods. Tune JVM performance, including memory management and garbage collection. Optimize RDS performance using AWS Performance Insights and CloudWatch.
Skill Development & Technology Learning (~10%)
Stay up to date with advancements in cloud-native observability, AWS services, and performance engineering.
Explore emerging tools in monitoring, log analytics, and cloud automation.
Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, tech talks, or brown-bag sessions.
Analyze real-time incidents to enhance knowledge of infrastructure behavior, and system performance characteristics.
Collaboration & Innovation (10% of role)
Collaborate with operations, internal teams to proactively address performance bottlenecks.
Engage in post-incident reviews to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.

What Youve Accomplished
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
5–7 years of professional experience in infrastructure, cloud, or performance engineering roles.
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC).
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (mandatory).
Experience with performance benchmarking, capacity planning, and tuning in cloud environments is a plus.
Strong experience managing and optimizing Linux-based systems.
Fundamental understanding of Kubernetes architecture, deployments, scaling, troubleshooting experience is a plus.
Fundamental understanding of JVM internals, garbage collection tuning, and memory management.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls (covered under AWS Solutions Architect certification).
Ability to automate tasks using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and document technical processes.
Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of GCP
Knowledge of J2EE architecture and application servers (Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, or JBOSS)
Knowledge of database administration (Oracle, Postgres)
Knowledge and experience with Javascript, SQL, and CSS/HTML
Knowledge of Communication protocols and technologies (SOAP, MQ, JMS)
