Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Residential Property Management team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 6 months to 3 years of experience who is looking to build their career in real estate and property management. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations for our residential portfolio while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions for residential properties
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements and reports
  • Handle tenant billing, rent collection tracking, and security deposit management
  • Process vendor payments and maintain vendor master data
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulations
  • Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes
  • Support GST compliance and filing requirements
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements

General Accounting

  • Data entry and maintenance in accounting software systems
  • Assist in preparing management reports and dashboards
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects
  • Coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) with specialization in Accounting, OR
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, OR
  • Chartered Accountancy (CA) pursuing/completed, OR
  • Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) pursuing/completed

Experience

  • Minimum 6 months to maximum 3 years of accounting experience

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
  • Knowledge of accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Understanding of Indian accounting principles and GST regulations
  • Basic knowledge of property management concepts (preferred)
