Job Title

Regional Commodity Manager

Summary

This role is assigned to manage $30 million spending. He/She is a key individual contributor in APAC procurement organization. It’s critical to support business growth of PA , FS and Core Silicone to meet the goals from raw material & Indirect material sourcing and competitive advantage. He/She collaborates with peers on to develop global procurement strategy. He/She partners with SIOP/Operation, aligning on requirements and priorities to make the right supply choices which balance the cost and risk, providing the best enterprise-wide value. He/she will be the sourcing expert in global to respond the requests from regional and global segment leaders.

Responsibilities Include

  • Manage the assigned category, establish sourcing strategy, negotiate contract, contract execution and supplier management, to make sure the supply security, achieve the annual target of Productivity and Inf/def.
  • Coordinate cross functions resources to drive new supplier development to support the sourcing strategy, also to meet the new business growth needs.
  • Deep dive into the market and update the latest market information, then translate the market information into opportunity & risk and take proactive actions to beneficial our business.
  • Build up the relationship with business leaders, from regional to global. Understand the short term and long term requirement from the customer, and at the same time, provide market insight to support the development of sales strategy.
  • Keep close contact with the peers in global, and work together with them global strategy set up.
  • Acumen to market change and develop effective business strategy to accommodate the complexity of the market.
  • Trade Payable management ( WAT /payment term improvement)

Qualifications

The following are required for the role

  • Bachelor degree
  • 8-12 years sourcing experiences in chemical industry.
  • Strong logic thinking capability.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn.
  • Be familiar with Microsoft office tools and SAP.
  • Fluent on oral and written English.
