Job Description

A Social Media Strategist plays a pivotal role in strengthening a company’s online presence. Tasked with the responsibility of boosting brand awareness, a Social Media Strategist devises effective strategies that drive engagement, enhance visibility, and ultimately maximize the reach and impact of the company's social media and digital marketing efforts. The role involves extensive research, content creation, and strategizing, using social media platforms to achieve business goals. Creativity, strategic thinking, and analytic skills are essential as the strategist must interpret data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and programs. Working closely with other teams such as marketing and public relations, a Social Media Strategist ensures that all social media efforts align with the organization’s brand identity, voice, and goals, ensuring coherent communication across all channels.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create and curate engaging content tailored to each social media platform.

  • Identify and engage with influencers to expand brand reach and credibility.
  • Facilitate online conversations to enhance customer satisfaction and community building.
  • Manage social media accounts, ensuring consistent voice and brand message.
  • Stay updated on new social media tools, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on social media initiatives and performance.
  • Ensure legal compliance and adherence to industry standards in all social media efforts.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and team members on social media best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role essential.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in leading social media management and analytics tools required.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with content management systems and digital marketing platforms.
