Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pizza Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for crafting top-quality pizzas with precision and creativity to provide an exceptional dining experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional and modern pizza-making techniques, an eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality, while creating delicious pizzas that will delight our patrons. Responsibilities

  • Create a variety of traditional and contemporary pizzas with consistency and quality.
  • Prepare dough from scratch, ensuring proper fermentation and texture for pizzas.
  • Select and source fresh ingredients to maintain high standards in pizza preparation.
  • Ensure all food preparation complies with local health and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and place orders as needed to meet demand.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to effectively manage peak service times.
  • Experiment with new recipes and contribute to menu development as needed.
  • Train junior kitchen staff in pizza-making techniques and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Monitor ovens and cooking times to ensure pizzas are perfectly cooked and presented.
  • Receive customer feedback and adjust recipes and techniques to enhance satisfaction.
  • Ensure pizzas are served in a timely manner and meet established quality standards.

Requirements

  • Previous culinary experience specializing in pizza-making in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian and contemporary pizza styles and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with kitchen staff.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality food products.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule.
