Job Description

The Finance Assistant - Accounts Receivable plays a crucial role in the financial health of an organization, focused on managing the inflow of funds. This position involves the meticulous tracking of invoices and ensuring timely payments. The Finance Assistant will collaborate with the finance team to monitor customer accounts, issue statements, resolve payment discrepancies, and support collections efforts. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders are essential. The ideal candidate will be capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all tasks related to accounts receivable functions.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices and ensure timely billing to clients.
  • Monitor receivables ledger and follow up on outstanding debts regularly.
  • Coordinate with clients to resolve payment discrepancies and related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions in the system.
  • Generate monthly statements and distribute them to clients to facilitate payment.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts receivable.
  • Work with the collections team to develop efficient collection strategies.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for effective accounts receivable management.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure payment issues are resolved.
  • Assist in audit processes by providing requested documentation and information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an accounts receivable role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
