Job Description

The Executive-Testing role is a critical position within the software development lifecycle responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of software applications. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. As an Executive-Testing professional, you will be tasked with designing, implementing, and executing various testing procedures to ensure software products meet the required standards and deliver a seamless experience to the end-users. Your role will involve working collaboratively with other departments to pinpoint defects, suggest improvements, and ensure the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations. Your expertise will help in maintaining the credibility and reputation of the organization by preventing defects from reaching customers.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans for various software projects.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and execute test cases.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Analyze testing results and provide detailed reports to the stakeholders.
  • Ensure that testing procedures comply with industry and company standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest testing tools and techniques.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers within the organization.
  • Review and revise testing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for process and product quality.
  • Participate in meetings to provide insights on quality assurance status.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurrent quality issues and propose solutions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned testing efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
  • Strong expertise in various testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using test automation tools and test management software.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for bug detection.
  • Effective communication skills to relay technical information to non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in software testing (ISTQB or equivalent) is highly desired.
