Job Description

As a Data Entry Operator, you are a crucial part of any office or business environment, responsible for updating, maintaining, and managing data into computer systems and databases. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and speed. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of data entry with accuracy. Data Entry Operators play a significant role in ensuring that information is current, accurate, and accessible for decision-making processes within an organization. You will be interacting with various team members and departments to ensure data integrity and will often work alongside IT professionals to troubleshoot database issues.


Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update data into established databases and computer systems.
  • Review and verify data for deficiencies, errors, or duplications and correct any incompatibilities.
  • Remain current with new data entry technologies and methodologies in the industry.
  • Cooperate with team members to complete tasks and resolve data-related issues.
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
  • Operate standard office equipment to perform data entry tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Conduct maintenance of data systems to ensure accurate and timely entry of information.
  • Organize and maintain paper and electronic files in an orderly system for easy access.
  • Generate reports, store completed work, and handle retrieval from the database as required.
  • Support data entry needs for various departmental projects and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of data and information collected.
  • Identify systems improvement opportunities to enhance workflows and processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education certification is required to apply.
  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator or similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and database software.
  • Excellent typing abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data entry while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with teams.
