Job Description

A Telesales Executive is a vital role within the sales department, primarily responsible for generating leads, closing sales deals over the phone, and maintaining good customer relationships. Success in this position requires an engaging and persuasive phone manner, an understanding of the products or services offered, and the ability to handle objections effectively. The Telesales Executive is expected to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth by bringing in customers and developing business. This role demands a proactive approach to sales, keen market insight, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. An effective Telesales Executive can build rapport swiftly with potential customers, understanding their needs and communicating the benefits of their products or services in a compelling way.


Responsibilities

  • Contact potential or existing customers to present products and services effectively.
  • Identify customer needs and address related questions to close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers by following up regularly.
  • Handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation and retain customers.
  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, or monthly sales targets consistently.
  • Record customer information accurately and update internal databases promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with other sales team members to ensure team success.
  • Provide detailed information about the products and services offered by the company.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing and resolving customer queries.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss, contribute, and share sales strategies.
  • Adopt an enthusiastic and results-oriented approach to selling opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with market trends and changes to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a telesales representative or other sales/customer-focused role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in verbal and written forms.
  • Ability to learn about products and services quickly and thoroughly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a positive attitude.
  • Goal-oriented and target-driven mindset to achieve sales objectives.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other related computer applications.
