Job Description

As a Hospital Receptionist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional support and service to patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the front desk operations, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for all guests. You will be the first point of contact for individuals arriving at the hospital, which requires exceptional communication and organizational skills along with a friendly demeanor. Your ability to efficiently handle inquiries, manage patient appointments, and assist with administrative duties is crucial for the smooth operation of the hospital's front office area. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist with their inquiries.
  • Manage telephone calls efficiently, directing them to the appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate appointments and schedules between patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area at all times.
  • Process patient check-ins and verify information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist patients with the completion of registration and admission forms.
  • Handle confidential patient information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Address patient concerns and complaints with empathy and effective solutions.
  • Coordinate communication between doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
  • Collect and process patient service fees, ensuring accurate transactions.
  • Support hospital staff in managing emergency situations efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment is required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
  • Proficient in using computers, telephone systems, and office equipment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and tact.
