Job Description

An Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of projects within an organization. This position involves supporting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll have the chance to take on increased responsibilities and develop your career in project management.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in the planning and execution of projects.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Monitor project deliverables and ensure all targets and requirements are met.
  • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively to gather project insights.
  • Identify and address project issues by generating solutions proactively.
  • Support in budget monitoring and controlling throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines for accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of project communications.
  • Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential project impacts.
  • Contribute to post-project evaluations to analyze successes and challenges.
  • Promote adherence to company standards and processes in projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a project support role.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project or Trello.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in project planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in team environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under pressure.
  • Certification such as CAPM or PMP is considered an asset.
