The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer plays a crucial role within organizations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining various safety programs and policies to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. The HSE Officer conducts regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, investigates accidents or incidents, and provides recommendations for improvements in safety practices. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety and environmental programs and policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to discover causes and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Provide training and awareness sessions on safety practices for all staff members.
• Maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries and illnesses to drive improvements.
• Coordinate emergency response and preparedness plans and drills effectively.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and best practices in HSE management.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety performance and compliance for management review.
• Liaise with governmental and regulatory bodies regarding safety standards and compliance.
• Mentor and support employees in understanding and implementing safety measures properly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a related HSE role is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to train, influence, and advise others.
• Certification in occupational health and safety management will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in creating detailed and comprehensive safety inspection reports.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with diverse teams.
