Job Description

The Logistics Executive plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption. This role requires a keen understanding of supply chain management, transportation logistics, and excellent problem-solving capabilities. The Logistics Executive is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the entire supply chain process, including inventory management, distribution, and transportation. They work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to ensure that goods are delivered in a timely manner and meet quality standards. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Oversee inventory management practices to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and transportation providers.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in the supply chain process.
  • Implement strategies to streamline operations and reduce unnecessary expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations in logistics activities.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall logistics performance.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets, ensuring operational costs are kept within limits.
  • Supervise and train staff in logistics best practices and efficient operations.
  • Use technology solutions to improve logistics processes and tracking accuracy.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure quality and accuracy in logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a logistics, supply chain, or operations management role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize logistics processes.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
  • Familiarity with international logistics regulations and compliance standards.
