Job Description

A Retail Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in driving the sales initiatives of a retail establishment. As the first point of contact for customers, they are responsible for not only selling products but also enhancing the overall shopping experience. They must possess excellent communication skills, a keen sense of customer service, and the ability to close sales efficiently. The sales executive should be knowledgeable about the products they are selling and be able to answer customer queries with confidence. Besides, they need to work collaboratively with their team to meet and exceed sales targets, and report to management about sales performance and improvements. Their ultimate goal is to foster a positive retail environment that encourages repeat business through outstanding service and product knowledge.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to identify their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all products and services offered.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets set by management on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in setting up retail displays to attract customers effectively.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently on the POS system.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Participate in continuous training and development programs to enhance skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department and business goals.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding customer feedback and product issues.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock items to the inventory team.
  • Contribute to a tidy, clean, and welcoming environment for customers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a retail sales environment preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to interact effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to assist and guide customers.
  • Ability to handle transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic proficiency in using retail software and point of sale systems.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a passion for sales.
