The IT Technician is a vital role primarily responsible for maintaining the smooth and efficient functioning of technology systems within an organization. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems across the organization.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with both software and hardware components.
• Provide timely and effective technical support to staff for all IT-related queries.
• Perform regular software and system updates to ensure maximum efficiency and security.
• Maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources within the organization.
• Ensure data backup operations are functioning correctly and securely on a consistent basis.
• Set up user accounts, permissions, passwords, and manage access controls effectively.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop maintenance and upgrading plans for networks.
• Monitor network performance to identify and recommend necessary improvements.
• Assist the IT team in developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides.
• Assist in the management of IT budget and analyzing data to recommend improvements.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in IT security to protect sensitive information.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency with various operating systems including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
• Experience with software installation, configuration, and maintenance processes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective technical support and user interaction.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple technical requests simultaneously.
