Job Description

As a Quality Inspector in the automotive service industry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all automotive services and repairs meet and exceed industry standards for quality and safety. You will meticulously inspect vehicles after service to ensure all repairs are completed to the highest level of quality, adhering to the manufacturer and company guidelines. You will collaborate with technicians, providing them with detailed feedback and guidance on service quality. Your keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills will ensure that each customer receives top-tier service, reinforcing the company’s reputation for excellence. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently manage time and resources, maintain a high level of integrity, and possess exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with the service team and customers.


Responsibilities

  • Inspect completed automotive repairs to ensure adherence to all quality standards.
  • Verify that all repair and service tasks meet customer and industry specifications.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to provide feedback on repair quality improvements.
  • Document and report findings from inspections in a clear and concise manner.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of service protocols and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all inspection and service processes.
  • Assist in developing and improving quality control systems and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to new inspectors on quality inspection processes.
  • Communicate any issues or service deviations to the relevant team members promptly.
  • Work closely with management to ensure continuous improvement in service quality.
  • Conduct random spot checks to ensure consistency in service quality evaluations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspection results and service quality issues.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a quality inspector in the automotive sector, required.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair and service standards, mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities, necessary.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately, essential.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and quality assurance software, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple inspections simultaneously.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Certification or training in automotive engineering or quality management, advantageous.
