Job Description

As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department, assisting in delivering exceptional services to our guests. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to manage staff, address customer inquiries, and maintain inventory control. Your proactive approach to managing various on-floor activities will ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. A key part of your role will involve training and mentoring staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily departmental operations efficiently.
  • Supervise staff to ensure a high standard of customer service at all times.
  • Participate actively in training programs to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination for food delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment.
  • Implement cost-effective procedures for purchasing and minimizing wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations consistently.
  • Assist in preparing operational reports and financial statements as required.
  • Participate in planning and executing special events within the facility.
  • Support the recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations of department staff.
  • Maintain a positive work environment adhering to company culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory role within food and beverage.
  • Strong understanding of customer service and operational best practices.
  • Proficiency in managing inventory systems and ordering procedures efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and make quick decisions under pressure.
