Role Overview

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a Project Engineer with a background in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Civil preferred) to support our expanding portfolio of surveying and engineering projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, technical coordination, and client interface — with a strong understanding of modern survey equipment and technologies including 3D Laser Scanning, LiDAR Mapping, GPR Surveys, Spatial Analysis, and Topographic Surveys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets for survey-related engineering works. Assist in the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for pre-qualification, tendering, and project development stages.
  • Lead site assessments and evaluations, ensuring readiness for survey deployment.
  • Supervise the deployment and operation of survey equipment, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
  • Manage client acquisition activities, develop relationships, and represent the company in meetings and presentations.
  • Coordinate internally with technical teams to ensure estimates reflect practical execution requirements.
  • Provide support in spatial data analysis, planning, and resource estimation for LiDAR, GPR, and 3D scanning projects.
  • Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of survey technologies, methods, and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 6–7 years of proven experience in project engineering, preferably in the surveying or geospatial sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost estimation and budgeting.
  • Strong background in surveying equipment and technologies.
  • Experience in pre-qualification processes and dealing with clients and consultants.
  • Proven ability in client acquisition and business development.
  • Hands-on knowledge of 3D Laser Scanning, LiDAR, GPR, Spatial Analysis, and Topographic Surveys.
  • Valid UAE Driver’s License is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication in English, negotiation, and project coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related industrial required standard tools/software.
