Job Description

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of all food and beverage activities within a hospitality establishment. This position involves supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in planning, organizing, and managing all operational aspects, including dining services, kitchen operations, and catering activities. The individual is expected to maintain high standards of guest satisfaction, service quality, and staff efficiency. They work collaboratively with kitchen staff, servers, and other departments to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The role also requires a strong focus on budget management, inventory control, and adherence to health and safety regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and supervision of food and beverage operations.
  • Support in the planning and implementation of food and beverage menus.
  • Oversee staff training programs to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory control and ordering of food and beverage supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Spearhead guest satisfaction initiatives and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Assist in the financial management, including budget preparation and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor staff performance and conduct performance evaluations regularly.
  • Resolve any operational issues or emergencies effectively and efficiently.
  • Contribute to the development of promotional and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent understanding of customer service and guest satisfaction principles.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, inventory, and other financial tasks.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for diverse interactions.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and nutritional regulations is highly required.
