Warehouse Supervisor

A Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse. They ensure that the logistical and warehouse functions run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong leadership skills as the supervisor is responsible for directing the work of warehouse staff, coordinating the distribution of goods, managing inventories, and maintaining a safe working environment. A successful Warehouse Supervisor will have exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to perform under pressure. They must also possess excellent communication skills to liaise between various departments and external vendors. The main goal is to drive continuous improvement and optimize the productivity and safety standards of the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse activities to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including training and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely dispatch of goods and products.
• Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction as the primary goal.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular physical counts to maintain accuracy.
• Develop and implement warehouse operations systems improvements when necessary.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
• Oversee inventory audits and report on trends and discrepancies in inventory levels.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics providers for seamless operation transitions.
• Prepare and manage manpower schedules, shipments, and other necessary administrative tasks.
• Utilize software to monitor and optimize warehouse efficiency and performance.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies on a regular basis.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar managerial role in logistics.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive approach.
• Familiarity with safety measures and warehouse compliance requirements.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification, bachelor's degree preferred.
