Job Purpose

As a Sustainability and Environment Officer, you will support the implementation of environmental policies and positions as they relate to the dnata Business, which includes all environment linked internal and corporate policies, performance reporting, stakeholder relationships, UAE / global regulatory policy challenges.

In This Role, You Will

  • Support the department manager by participating in relevant forums, conducting research, and contributing to the advancement of dnata’s environmental agenda.
  • Monitors and ensures timely implementation of environmental initiatives, while supporting the planning and execution of activities aligned with the Group’s environment and sustainability strategy.
  • Review environmental data, maintains accurate databases and dashboards, and analyzes trends, anomalies, and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Collect and compiles data for voluntary and regulatory reporting requirements, including those arising from permits, legislation, and other governmental or environmental entities.
  • Conduct environmental audits, communicates findings, and ensures timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Facilitate orientation, awareness, and training programs by participating in project meetings, joint worksite sessions, and communication activities across dnata.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as operations, facilities, and procurement to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance environmental performance.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Hold a degree with 2 years of experience or A levels with 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in relevant discipline such as Environmental Science, Engineering, Facilities Management preferred.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in Environmental Management in a progressive capacity.
  • Proficient ability to interpret and coordinate environmental data and monitoring activities.
  • Proficient knowledge of key environmental principals regarding climate change, pollution control, waste management and resource management in order to evaluate environmental risks and opportunities.
  • Computer and IT Literacy.
  • Advanced knowledge of environmental regulations and codes.
  • Proficient communication skills, negotiation skills, writing skills.
