We are seeking an experienced Steelworks Manager to oversee our Dubai operations. Job Description
As the Steelworks Manager at KILONEWTONS, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of steel fabrication, production, and quality control while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Production Oversight: Manage daily steel fabrication operations, including cutting, welding, bending, and assembly.
✔ Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with international steel standards (ASTM, AISC, EN, BS).
✔ Team Leadership: Supervise engineers, welders, and technicians, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
✔ Project Management: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and design teams to meet project deadlines.
✔ Cost Control: Optimize material usage, labor efficiency, and equipment maintenance to reduce waste.
✔ Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and UAE safety regulations across the workshop and site operations.
✔ Vendor & Supplier Relations: Source high-quality steel materials and negotiate contracts.
✔ Technical Expertise: Review engineering drawings, BOQs, and fabrication methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✔ Minimum 10 years of experience in steel fabrication, structural engineering, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
✔ Proven leadership experience managing large steelwork teams (50+ employees).
✔ Deep knowledge of steel grades, welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC), and CNC machinery.
✔ Familiarity with AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar steel detailing software.
✔ Strong project management skills (PMP certification is a plus).
✔ Understanding of UAE/GCC construction codes and regulations.
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
✔ Experience in oil & gas, shipbuilding, or high-rise steel structures.
✔ Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
✔ Arabic language proficiency.
