Job Description

The Senior Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in the growth and success of a company, overseeing the sales department and leading a team of sales professionals to achieve the organization’s revenue objectives. This position requires a seasoned leader with a strategic mindset who can drive sales strategies, manage key accounts, and contribute to product development and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the market dynamics, a strong customer service focus, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. The Senior Sales Manager will work closely with the executive team to ensure that sales actions align with the company’s goals and objectives, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the sales force. This role is suited for a dynamic individual with exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills, aiming to enhance both customer satisfaction and competitive positioning in the market.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to diverse market segments.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing sales team to exceed targets.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to maximize opportunities and sales growth.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers and clients.
  • Oversee and coordinate all sales activities in assigned territories or regions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to ensure consistent lead generation.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed sales forecasts to executive management regularly.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Provide ongoing training and development to the sales team, enhancing capabilities.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers or key accounts.
  • Ensure the sales team is using CRM software effectively to track performance and customer interactions.
  • Participate in hiring processes to bring in additional top talent for the sales department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise to understand customer needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to foster strong client relationships.
  • Ability to handle presentations and public speaking engagements confidently.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets consistently.
