Your key dutiesThe Senior IT Support Officer provides technical support and maintenance for IT systems, with a specialized focus on engineering and design software used in architectural workflows. This role ensures seamless operation of tools critical to architects, engineers, and designers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues across the office.
  • Support specialized engineering and design applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues related to CAD workstations, rendering software, and graphic-intensive applications.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and licensing of design and modeling software.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand software requirements and optimize system performance.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, including software guides and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and project collaboration platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain IT assets, including high-performance workstations and peripherals like plotters and 3D printers.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to vendors or higher-level support when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and software licensing agreements.
  • Provide training and onboarding support for new users on engineering tools and IT systems.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience supporting AutoCAD, Revit, and other architecture/engineering software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with graphics cards, rendering engines, and performance optimization.
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and remote support tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Autodesk Certified Professional, or ITIL are a plus.
