In the dynamic and fast-paced environment of design consultancy, the role of a Senior Design Consultant bridges the gap between client aspirations and achievable design solutions. This position requires a visionary leader who can meld creativity with technical expertise to deliver high-quality design solutions across various platforms. The successful candidate will be instrumental in forging client relationships, leading project teams, and ensuring that each design solution is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally sound. A Senior Design Consultant brings an innovative approach to problem-solving, underpinned by a deep understanding of design principles and a commitment to client satisfaction. This role demands exemplary communication skills, as interaction with clients to discuss project requirements, provide updates, and present findings is a critical component. Engaging in this capacity means embracing a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating feedback from stakeholders, and staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in design. 


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage design projects from inception through to completion.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and constraints.
  • Develop creative design concepts that align with client expectations.
  • Prepare detailed design specifications and documentation for approval.
  • Oversee and review design drafts and iterations by junior designers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new practices into projects.
  • Coordinate with other consultants and stakeholders to integrate various design elements.
  • Provide expert advice on design materials, budgeting, and timelines.
  • Conduct presentations to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and creativity.


Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Have at least 8 years of experience in a similar design role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design styles and techniques is necessary.
  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize and visualize 2D and 3D designs.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interactions with clients and teams.
  • Proven experience in project management and leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of different materials, construction processes, and techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
  • Experience in working with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to overcome design challenges effectively.
