The Senior Project Manager - Civil is a pivotal role within our organization where the individual will oversee the planning, coordination, implementation, and completion of various civil engineering projects. This role demands an experienced leader who possesses the strategic vision to guide a project from inception to completion while ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and sustainable construction practices. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, ensuring effective communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a profound understanding of project management methodologies, consistently delivering projects within scope, on time, and on budget. Furthermore, this role requires exceptional problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges and ensure that all aspects of the project align with organizational goals and industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee project lifecycle from planning through execution and closure stages.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align with client expectations and constraints.
  • Facilitate communication among clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure project adherence to all relevant safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are achieved consistently.
  • Monitor project progress continuously, identifying potential risks and initiating solutions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify alignment with quality and design standards.
  • Implement and uphold strong project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all project-related paperwork.
  • Oversee tendering processes and stakeholder agreements to secure project resources.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members throughout project execution.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management conveying project's progress and accomplishments.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil project management.
  • Proficiency in project management software including MS Project and Primavera.
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP or equivalent, preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage cross-functional teams efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical approach to manage project challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with client-facing experience.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal construction regulations and standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
