Job Description

As a Retail Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and growing the relationships with our retail clients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that customer needs are met, and their expectations are not just delivered but exceeded. This dynamic role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a flair for sales and negotiation. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and executing sales strategies to expand our customer base and maximize profit margins. This position is highly collaborative, working closely with internal departments to ensure that client expectations are aligned with company capabilities. Your expertise in the retail industry will be essential to understanding market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive practices to tailor solutions that fit our clients' needs.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strong relationships with retail clients to foster loyalty and trust.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of account strategies.
  • Analyze market trends to anticipate client needs and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on account status and sales performance for upper management.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients to align with company goals and profitability.
  • Oversee the resolution of customer issues to maintain and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Organize and conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss goals and performance.
  • Monitor competitor activity to identify industry shifts and adjust approach as needed.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop customer-specific marketing strategies.
  • Support the finance department in ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
  • Stay updated on retail product knowledge to provide informed solutions to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite to track sales performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt strategies based on client feedback.
