Job Description

A Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in the healthcare system by providing patient care, educating patients and the public about various health conditions, and offering emotional support to patients and their families. RNs must maintain a high level of professionalism while working collaboratively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. They perform various clinical tasks, from administering medications and treatments to monitoring patients and fostering a healing environment. As healthcare environments become increasingly complex, RNs may also take on management roles, where they'll oversee and train junior nursing staff, maintain patient records, and contribute to quality care improvement initiatives. This position requires a compassionate individual who is adept at communicating and problem-solving while delivering exemplary healthcare services.


Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans and modify as necessary.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals and monitor side effects.
  • Observe, record, and report patient behaviors and symptoms to develop appropriate care strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate effective decision-making and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on healthcare plans, conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient interventions, assessments, and outcomes effectively.
  • Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and functioning safely.
  • Participate in healthcare team meetings to improve patient care strategies and techniques.
  • Provide emotional support, counseling, and assistance in coping with health issues and hospital experiences.
  • Conduct health screenings and preventive services such as vaccinations, as required by healthcare standards.
  • Supervise junior nursing staff, providing mentorship and training to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Registered Nurse license .
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or an Associate Degree with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills for effective patient and team interaction.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prove proficiency in clinical practice guidelines, medical terminology, and healthcare safety measures.
  • Show capability in using electronic medical records and healthcare management systems efficiently.
  • Display compassion and empathy while maintaining professional boundaries with patients and families.
