Job Description

A Presales Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting sales efforts by working closely with the sales team to drive the business forward. The role involves understanding customer needs and offering persuasive technical solutions to meet those requirements, ultimately contributing to the closing of sales. As a Presales Manager, you'll leverage your technical knowledge, communication skills, and strategic insight to demonstrate the value of solutions and influence purchase decisions positively. Beyond providing technical support, you'll also be instrumental in building customer relationships, responding to RFPs, creating compelling presentations, and participating in technical workshops. The capability to articulate complex solutions and translate technical information into business value is critical for success in this role, which requires a collaborative spirit and an innovative mindset to align solutions to customer needs strategically.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations emphasizing solution benefits and differentiation.
  • Create and present tailored technical proposals and proof of concepts to customers.
  • Participate in the creation and review of the technical content in RFP/RFQ responses.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the sales team and product engineering teams.
  • Provide expert advice, technical guidance, and support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within targeted accounts.
  • Conduct workshops and technology briefings to educate potential clients about offerings.
  • Identify and analyze market trends to strategically position solutions effectively.
  • Prepare and deliver technical slides for presentations and conference speaking engagements.
  • Lead the technical aspects of sales meetings with potential and existing clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior presales team members, sharing insights and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in presales or technical sales roles.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to present in both technical and business contexts.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple presales engagements successfully.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining customer relationships within a competitive environment.
