Job Description

The Presales Engineer is a crucial member of the sales team, working alongside Account Managers to support the technical side of the sales process. The position involves collaborating with clients to understand their technical needs and provide solutions that align with business objectives. A successful Presales Engineer bridges the gap between customer requirements and the company’s products or services. This role requires a deep understanding of technology, effective communication skills, and the ability to convey complex concepts to stakeholders. The Presales Engineer plays a key role in customer satisfaction, ensuring that proposed solutions are viable and meet customer expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive demonstrations of products and technologies to prospective clients and stakeholders.
  • Analyze clients' technical needs and propose effective solutions that align with business goals.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and training to customers and sales teams.
  • Prepare technical proposals that clearly highlight the value and functionality of suggested solutions.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the sales team and the customer to ensure smooth communication.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to provide cutting-edge solutions.
  • Support sales team in answering technical queries from potential customers accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in RFP/RFI responses by providing detailed technical content and insights.
  • Participate in sales meetings, customer visits, and industry events to promote company products.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to feedback customer insights for product improvement.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed within deadlines and meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in a presales or related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of technology and the ability to explain complex concepts simplistically.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet customer and business needs.
