Job Description

The Patient Relations Executive is a critical role in healthcare facilities, tasked with ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to address and resolve any concerns or issues that may arise during a patient's stay or visit. The Patient Relations Executive serves as a bridge between the healthcare team and the patients, advocating for patients' needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided. This role also involves collecting feedback from patients to identify areas for improvement and working collaboratively with other departments to enhance the overall quality of care. A successful Patient Relations Executive is empathetic, proactive, and possesses strong problem-solving skills to handle various situations effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to resolve concerns.
  • Communicate patient feedback and suggestions to the relevant departments for action.
  • Conduct regular patient satisfaction surveys and compile actionable reports from the data.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate communication with patients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience within the facility.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient interactions and complaints.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients and families regarding hospital policies.
  • Respond swiftly to patient grievances, ensuring effective resolutions are reached.
  • Train and support hospital staff in delivering excellent patient care services.
  • Organize and participate in patient-centric programs and initiatives.
  • Identify communication barriers and work to overcome them effectively.
  • Facilitate meetings between patients and care teams to clarify treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a patient relations or customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on patient-centered care solutions.
  • Empathy and patience to deal effectively with diverse patient concerns.
  • Proficient in using healthcare management software and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient rights is highly desirable.
