Job Description

As a Patient Administration Executive, you are a vital part of the healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of patient administration processes within a medical facility. You serve as the primary point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals, overseeing the scheduling of appointments, managing patient records, and facilitating communications between various departments. Your role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. The Patient Administration Executive plays an essential role in enhancing patient satisfaction by ensuring their administrative experience is seamless and efficient, thus contributing to the overall quality of care provided by the healthcare institution.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal allocation of time slots.
  • Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality in all instances.
  • Serve as the main communication link between patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist patients with inquiries and facilitate the resolution of any administrative issues.
  • Verify patient insurance details and manage billing-related administrative tasks.
  • Liaise with multiple departments to streamline patient care coordination effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and regulations in all administrative procedures.
  • Prepare and manage reports on administrative activities and patient flow metrics.
  • Implement and improve patient administration processes for increased operational efficiency.
  • Manage the scheduling software and other patient management systems proficiently.
  • Organize and participate in staff meetings focused on improving patient administration.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in patient administration tasks and customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least two years of experience in a healthcare administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
