Job Description

As a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Supervisor specializing in power systems, you will be the key figure ensuring the seamless integration and function of MEP components within power projects. This dynamic role combines technical expertise with managerial responsibilities to drive the successful execution of projects. As an MEP Supervisor, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to lead a team while collaborating with various stakeholders to meet project goals. Your strategic insight and technical skills will be critical in optimizing performance, enhancing energy efficiency, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise the installation and maintenance of MEP systems in power projects.
  • Coordinate with engineers and architects to ensure system compatibility and efficiency.
  • Lead a team of technicians and oversee their daily activities and tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage the procurement of materials and ensure budgetary adherence.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Ensure that all MEP work follows environmental and regulatory guidelines.
  • Train and mentor team members for skill development and succession planning.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in MEP supervisory roles within power projects.
  • Proven leadership abilities and team management experience are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications like AutoCAD and project management tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and team members.
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and safe work practices.
