Job Description

A Medical Representative is a critical link between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals, responsible for ensuring that medical products and services are accurately represented and promoted to physicians, pharmacists, and other medical facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of medical products, strong communication skills, and an ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients. A Medical Representative must be knowledgeable about the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory issues, and the competitive landscape. They work autonomously to organize product presentations to healthcare professionals and are consistently aiming to meet sales objectives while adhering to ethical standards. Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated, a successful Medical Representative thrives in fast-paced environments and can effectively respond to customer inquiries, providing necessary support and guidance about pharmaceutical products. They also need to stay updated with the latest medical research and innovations to offer accurate and comprehensive information to clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and commitment to healthcare improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets by promoting product benefits effectively.
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to healthcare professionals.
  • Keep abreast of medical and scientific advances to accurately represent products.
  • Identify new market opportunities for business growth and sales expansion.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to create and execute product launches.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to stay competitive.
  • Organize workshops and educational presentations for healthcare providers.
  • Manage records of sales figures, client communications, and feedback received.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure product availability.
  • Provide timely updates and reports to management on market developments.
  • Address customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field required.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Representative or in a similar role.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills are essential for success.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively is crucial.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients and attend seminars.
