As an Assistant Store Manager at our furniture store, you will play a crucial role in managing daily operations to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our valued customers. Your leadership skills will be pivotal in supporting the store manager in directing and overseeing store operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring staff productivity. You will be responsible for cultivating a positive work environment that inspires and motivates the team. Your organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing store layout for maximum efficiency. Additionally, you'll work closely with the sales team to provide exemplary customer service, addressing inquiries diligently and fostering long-lasting relationships with customers. Ultimately, you will help the store achieve its sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Assist store manager with day-to-day store operations and administrative tasks.
Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve sales goals.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient service and rapport.
Manage inventory control and ensure stock levels are optimal at all times.
Collaborate with staff to organize merchandise in an appealing and efficient manner.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and assist in resolving issues.
Implement and monitor store policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Report on store performance, including sales, customer feedback, and staff activity.
Facilitate staff training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
Work closely with the Store Manager in the planning and execution of new sales strategies.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
Maintain store cleanliness and conduct regular maintenance checks on the sales floor.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years retail management experience in a furniture store preferred.
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with experience in customer relationship building.
Proficiency in using retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and product presentation.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate store operations.
Capability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
Adaptability to changing business demands and a fast-paced environment.
