Job Description

The Manager School Operations is a critical role responsible for overseeing the daily operational functions of a school to ensure a safe, efficient, and supportive environment for staff and students. This position encompasses a wide range of duties including managing facilities, coordinating logistical initiatives, and liaising between academic and non-academic departments to streamline processes and improve overall school performance. The role requires a dynamic individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. Candidates must be adept at problem-solving and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational setting. As a key player in the school's administrative team, the Manager School Operations works collaboratively with educators, staff, and parents to fulfill the school's mission and educational goals.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of school facilities to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Coordinate and manage logistical aspects of school events and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations applicable to school operations.
  • Manage relationships and communication between academic and non-academic departments.
  • Monitor and manage school budgets related to facility and operational expenditures.
  • Supervise maintenance and janitorial staff to ensure safe and clean school premises.
  • Coordinate security measures to maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to support school operations.
  • Engage with parents and community members to address concerns and provide updates.
  • Lead and participate in various committees to promote school excellence and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in school administration or operations management.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, financial management, and data analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal educational regulations and standards preferred.
