Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Your duties will include conducting routine inspections to identify any issues or potential problems, performing preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment running smoothly, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and making necessary repairs to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery, as well as maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in a maintenance role are typically required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and recommend repairs or replacement as needed.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation of work performed.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
• Monitor and maintain building security and safety systems, such as fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger maintenance projects or specialized repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in maintenance areas and storage rooms.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
