Job Description

The Maintenance Coordinator - Landscaping is a crucial role responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape maintenance operations within a designated area. This position involves planning, coordinating, and executing regular landscape maintenance tasks to ensure that all outdoor areas are kept aesthetically pleasing and functionally conducive. The ideal candidate must exhibit an understanding of horticultural practices and landscape design while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The Maintenance Coordinator will work closely with a team of landscaping professionals, directing and supervising their activities to guarantee high-quality maintenance outcomes. They will also be the point of contact for client communications, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining long-term client relationships through effective landscape management.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule regular landscape maintenance activities for assigned properties.
  • Supervise and manage landscape maintenance staff, ensuring timely task completion.
  • Conduct routine inspections to assess landscape health and aesthetic quality.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment for landscape tasks.
  • Develop and implement landscape maintenance plans tailored to clients' needs.
  • Ensure all landscaping practices comply with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor landscaping staff on the latest landscape maintenance techniques.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to discuss maintenance schedules and project updates.
  • Resolve any client concerns related to landscape maintenance promptly and efficiently.
  • Track and manage budget allocations for landscaping maintenance projects.
  • Collaborate with designers during landscaping redesign or enhancement projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities and progress for management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance or coordination roles.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard landscape maintenance tools and practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to develop and adhere to budgetary constraints and timelines.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to landscaping activities is essential.
