Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in the supply chain operation, ensuring the seamless movement of goods from the point of origin to the final destination. In this dynamic position, you will oversee the entire process of logistics management, coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, and transport companies. Your role involves meticulous planning, efficient execution, and constant communication to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. As a Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for identifying any issues that arise and implementing swift solutions to maintain the flow of the supply chain. Your ability to multitask, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role as you contribute significantly to a company's efficiency and productivity.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure smooth logistics processes.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Ensure strict adherence to compliance and regulatory guidelines throughout the logistics operation.
  • Develop logistics plans and procedures to enhance workflow and reduce costs.
  • Analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements in logistics operations.
  • Handle all documentation-related tasks such as invoices, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise in shipping and warehousing processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to integrate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Implement and maintain a transportation tracking system to monitor real-time shipment status.
  • Prepare and present reports on logistics performance and conditions to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management software systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the role.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for logistical reporting.
