Job Description

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting scientific investigations by conducting technical laboratory tasks, maintaining sophisticated lab equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of tests and experiments. Your work will involve analyzing various samples, preparing important reports, and assisting researchers in the development of innovative solutions. Responsibilities

  • Conduct a variety of tests and analyses in a precise and organized manner.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Prepare samples and solutions for analysis according to established protocols.
  • Document findings and maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities.
  • Assist in the compilation and interpretation of analytical results for reporting.
  • Ensure the laboratory is stocked with necessary supplies and materials at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Coordinate with research scientists and other team members for project requirements.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities as needed.
  • Assist in training new laboratory personnel on equipment usage and protocols.
  • Stay updated with the latest laboratory techniques and industry developments.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least a diploma or degree in Laboratory Science or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a laboratory setting is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions meticulously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and proper handling of chemicals.
  • Proficient in the use of laboratory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
