Job Description

The HR Assistant plays a key role in the human resources department by providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation. Responsibilities include managing employee records, processing payroll, coordinating training programs, and assisting with recruitment activities such as posting job vacancies, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks. The HR Assistant also plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment by addressing employee queries, resolving grievances, and promoting employee well-being initiatives. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for this role. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of HR processes and compliance requirements to support the HR team effectively. Working closely with HR professionals, the HR Assistant contributes to the overall success of the organization by maintaining accurate HR records, handling confidential information discreetly, and exhibiting a customer-centric approach to address employee needs.


Responsibilities

  • Assisting in recruitment processes such as job posting, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Maintaining employee records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assisting with onboarding processes for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and coordinating orientation sessions.
  • Supporting HR initiatives and programs, such as performance management, employee engagement, and training and development.
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administering benefits programs, including enrolling employees in health insurance and processing leave requests.
  • Assisting with payroll processing, including verifying timesheets, calculating overtime, and addressing payroll-related inquiries.
  • Coordinating employee recognition programs and events to promote a positive work culture.
  • Managing HR department correspondence, including drafting and distributing internal communications and memos.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations by staying informed of updates and making necessary adjustments to HR processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
