Job Purpose

Prime purpose of Pre-Sales Engineer is to support presales queries and provide complete solution to wireless networking technology portfolio. This role involves working closely with the Sales/Business Development Team, Customers, and other internal Technical Teams to design, present, and support Wireless Networking Solutions that meet clients’ needs. This profile requires a strong technical background in Wireless Networking Technologies (Microwave, PTP and PTMP Wireless). This role will also be involved in conducting Trainings for internal staff and customers, resolving complex technical issues and troubleshooting on-site/remotely, if needed.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support for the complete wireless networking technology and Industrial communication portfolio.
  • Support the Sales/BD team with Bid/Tender documents and proposals, from early-stage design, budget phase, proposal and also negotiation and clarifications.
  • Prepares BOQ/Design/Drawings based on technical documents (RFQ, RFP and others).
  • Participates in customers meetings (offline/online), identify and gathers customer requirements, develop and propose system designs (high and low level as required), aiming to assist the customer with a highly reliable system and lower cost possible, yet ensuring maximum sales for the company.
  • Provide technical product presentation for functionality as well as conduct customers’ workshops, proof of concepts (POCs) and trainings as and when required.
  • Responsible for all Wireless Technical Support to Sales/BD team for their respective customers on assigned brands, if required.
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for the company’s wireless networking technology portfolio.
  • Participate in Wireless solutions designing and planning with customers to provide guidance on applications, usage, integration and best practices.
  • Responsible for carrying out site visits, surveys, on-site meetings with Customers/Consultants for preparation of solution BOQs/RFQs/RFIs/Tender Specifications documentation.
  • Active contribution with Sales teams to produce new and high-quality Case Studies, Applications Notes, White Papers, News Letters and other collateral material.
  • Create and Maintain the Reports to log and track their work, activities and services provided to internal teams and customers by logging Tickets/Cases over CRM/Ticketing System.
  • Manage RMA process (reception, processing, return of faulty and repaired/replaced products, as and when needed).
  • Hold the accountability of the return and tracking of internal/external testing and POC units issued for customers.
  • Awareness of the Quality Policy, Objectives, and relevant procedures in compliance with industry standards for Project Management.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications/Networking, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in presales engineering, technical support, or a similar role, with a focus on wireless networking technologies (Microwave, PTP and PTMP Wireless, WIFI, WiMAX, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with wireless networking technologies and solutions.
  • Experience with network architecture design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, BGP, OSPF) and technologies like LAN, WAN, wireless, and SDN.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking vendors and solutions especially for outdoor long-distance communications.
  • Experience in working on RFQ/RFP/RFI/Tender Specifications and preparation of Bid Response/Proposal Solution documentation.
  • Experience in diverse industrial vertical/sector such as Oil & Gas, Critical Infrastructure, Power & Water Utilities, Clean Energy (Solar), Transportation & others.
  • Proven ability to present complex technical concepts in an easily understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science majoring in Networking / Telecommunication / Wireless Technology.
  • Certifications in Wireless Communications/Networking (e.g., CWNA, CCNP, CCIE) is preferred.
  • Experience/Certified in Project Management is preferred.
