About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to manage the company’s day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and supporting month-end closing activities.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, journal entries, and financial transactions.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure all accounts are up to date.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and petty cash.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Generate financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, and verify expense records.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and accounting standards.
• Support external audits by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments for timely financial data.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar ERP systems.
• Good understanding of VAT filing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
