Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager is a pivotal figure in the hospitality industry, charged with ensuring that the operations within the food and beverage sector run seamlessly and effectively. This role involves overseeing all aspects related to food and beverage services, from managing daily operations, staff scheduling, and maintaining financial budgets to ensuring customers receive top-tier culinary experiences. The professional in this position will act as the liaison between the kitchen and dining hall, influencing the overall quality and presentation of every plate and ensuring that service remains at its peak through effective staff training and development. The Food and Beverage Manager will also be instrumental in leading marketing strategies, improving operational procedures, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure the consistent procurement of high-quality food and beverage supplies. Ultimately, the position is focused on enhancing guest satisfaction, driving revenue, and maintaining the high standards expected in the hospitality sector.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily food and beverage service operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Develop and implement training programs for all food and beverage staff members.
  • Plan menus in consultation with chefs, adapting to seasonal availability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations are strictly adhered to.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Analyze food and beverage costs and establish cost-cutting measures.
  • Coordinate marketing and promotion activities to increase sales and customer engagement.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and respond to feedback and complaints promptly.
  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Manage and schedule staff workflows to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee budgeting and track financial transactions to maintain profitability goals.
  • Evaluate service procedures and implement improvements for excellence and innovation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations and best practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to enhance guest experiences and satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Proficient in using restaurant management software and financial reporting tools.
