Job Description

The Fleet & Logistic Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the efficient management and optimization of a company’s vehicle fleet and logistics operations. This position requires a highly organized individual capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They are responsible for ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained, efficiently utilized, and that logistics operations are carried out smoothly to meet business needs. A strong communicator, the Fleet & Logistic Coordinator liaises between drivers, vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure alignment and delivery of services. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, transportation management, or a related field, coupled with analytical and problem-solving skills to drive improvements and efficiencies within the fleet and logistics functions.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the vehicle fleet to ensure optimal usage.
  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient and effective logistics operations.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with drivers to provide support and guidance, ensuring clear communication.
  • Foster relationships with vendors and negotiate service agreements as necessary.
  • Manage and track fleet and logistics-related expenses to control costs.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align logistics functions with business needs.
  • Use technology to track logistics metrics and generate reports for assessment.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to fleet and logistics operations promptly.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in fleet management.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives within logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Significant experience in fleet management and logistics operations management.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistical software and fleet management systems is highly desirable.
  • Problem-solving skills, with an analytical approach to improve operational efficiency.
  • Driver's license with a clean driving record and a focus on safety.
